L’Arche Atlanta®

  • L’Arche is a nonprofit, house-based community where everyone has a secure place of belonging, regardless of their intellectual ability. They envision a place where everyone can experience transformative relationships, and people's gifts are valued and given a place from which to contribute to the wider society.

    • L’Arche had launched a new project and was in need of a logo and other design elements for their marketing. This project was “Treasure Maps: The Georgia Storytelling Roadshow” – a show produced by the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities, L’Arche Atlanta and StoryMuse featuring 10 short films produced by Georgia storytellers with developmental disabilities. It was part of a larger storytelling project that produced a documentary film, 2 seasons of a podcast, and over 100 stories written about people with disabilities. Having a fresh logo for “Treasure Maps” would help them achieve their goals of being seen as professional and trustworthy within their community.

    Requirements included:

    • Consultation regarding the organization’s current branding and desired branding objectives

    • A high-resolution file of the approved logo delivered electronically (in formats for digital and print use)

    • Visual branding guidelines/style guide that included specific colours, fonts, and other graphic design elements to use in print and digital communications materials

    • Enhance their digital marketing materials with compelling graphics designed to increase community engagement.

  • A logo was designed to elevate their visual identity and a style guide was developed to help guide design choices such as colors, font styles, and graphics that reflect their mission and vision.

A series of social media assets was crafted which included an announcement about their drive-in shows, an 'about' graphic, and posts that generated interest. A template was also created for future use.

$7,819 USD was saved through this volunteer work, allowing L’Arche Atlanta to focus on show development and storytelling, as well as to do further outreach for their roadshow.

It was a privilege to work with GCDD, L’Arche Atlanta and StoryMuse and be a part of the life-transforming work they do.
