Exodus provides Christ-centered, compassionate and holistic care for women and children in recovery. They also assist with supportive housing and ongoing counselling and support. Exodus Chattanooga fills a gap that currently exists for many women who are ready to rebuild their lives after a recovery program but may lack the strong, healthy, nurturing community network needed to ensure their success as they take the Next Steps Journey (an Exodus program) to live a life free of abuse, addiction or oppression.

• Revamp the colour palette of their existing logo, as they didn’t feel it was vibrant enough or spoke to the impactful, empowering or restorative work they did.

• Redesign their current brochure to bring a fresh marketing tool to their organization, enabling them to expand their reach to bring more donations and grant-funding opportunities.

• The content on their previous brochure was vague and didn’t speak to the impact or credibility of the organization. With the approval of key stakeholders at Exodus, I increased the size of their existing brochure and completely rewrote the content. While searching for data to include in their brochure, it was found that their core program (the Next Steps Journey), although underway and experiencing much success, had not been running long enough to provide substantial data to show on the brochure. Due to this, I suggested they switch gears and provide data showing the dire need for supportive housing, recovery programs and counselling in Tennessee, thus demonstrating how crucial this organization was in addressing these needs. I recommended the use of infographics to illustrate this data in an impactful, visual and easily digestible manner.

A new brochure was designed to provide much-needed credibility and transparency, which detailed the impact that Exodus Chattanooga has within their community, their recovery programs, partners, mission and vision statement, ways for donors to help, as well as an infographic illustrating the urgent need for an organization like their’s in the community.

$4,212 USD was saved through this volunteer work, thereby allowing Exodus to expand its programs.
