I studied Fine Art and Graphic Design in Gauteng (formerly known as Johannesburg), South Africa. Since moving to Canada, I’ve worked in publishing, marketing and advertising. During these years, I worked both in teams and independently, crafting design solutions for real-world challenges facing stakeholders, their clients and audience.

My experience in Graphic Design spans various sectors including nonprofits, technology and telecommunications, law, finance, automotive, food, gaming, retail, insurance, education, healthcare and energy in the B2B and B2C domain.

My skill set has since expanded to include User Experience Design. What could be more exciting than flexing your design thinking muscle in a collaborative environment? From conducting user research (where empathy and having good listening skills are key) to developing user insights (illustrated through storyboarding and journey mapping). From defining and framing problems to ideating possible solutions. From wireframing to prototyping, all while conducting user testing and performing constant iterations throughout the process.

Does the process ever end? That's the beauty of the user-centred design. It never really does. There's always room for improvement. It’s a journey. Yes, it works and it’s great, BUT how do we make it better?

I consider myself to be a lifelong learner, who jumps at every chance to keep learning not just in a professional, but in a personal capacity too. Empathy, respect, humility, agility and flexibility to adapt to changing environments are important to me.
