Access Copyright
-
Access Copyright is a collective voice of creators and publishers in Canada. A non-profit, national organization, they represent tens of thousands of Canadian writers, visual artists and publishers, and their works. They license the copying of this repertoire to educational institutions, businesses, governments and others. The proceeds gathered when content is copied, remixed and shared are passed along to the copyright holders. These investments help to ensure the continued creation of new and innovative works.

Design a branded annual report, showcasing the rich history behind the founding of the organization, in a visually vibrant manner unlike previous annual reports of its kind.

Created a visually rich annual report with stunning imagery drawing attention to the organization’s cause, as well as illustrating the history behind the organization in a way that demanded attentiveness and engagement, eg. to signify key dates, a compass was used to represent time and symbolize direction. Two additional colours were introduced which contrasted with the monotone logo colours to create interest and intrigue.
The format of the report was changed from what was conventionally portrait to landscape, and a luxurious, silky, smooth paper stock was used.
The elegant cover was di-cut and varnished with the copyright icon, giving a nod to the notion of exclusivity in the word “copyright”.
This annual report was extremely well received and we were assigned further projects after the production of this piece.
